TESTIMONIALS
“Steve represented me in a serious motor vehicle collision in the early 90’s. When I contacted him again after a recent collision, he took the case to trial. The insurance company claimed I was not worse; in fact, Steve proved to the jury that my chronic pain was now quite disabling and I was awarded far more than I was offered. Because of Steve’s work I am now able to afford the care I need to manage my chronic pain syndrome.”
“My best friend died in my arms. I was seriously injured while trying to save him. We were electrocuted while working for the City of Central Point Water Department. The power company didn’t tell us about the live wire we were working near. Although it was their job to tell us about all of the lines we were digging around, they blamed us for my friend’s death. After a lot of hard work we achieved a large settlement that has allowed my family and me to go on with our lives.”
“I stopped to help at an accident scene in Eastern Oregon. When a tired truck driver crashed through the scene and ran over my legs, I nearly died. Steve understood how my life had been affected and that it would never be the same. Because of Steve and his staff, I was fairly compensated for losses suffered by me and my family.”
“Steve believed in me when no one else would. I was an ironworker until a steel rebar structure collapsed because of the general contractor’s negligence. Though I tried, I could not physically perform my job. Steve took the case to trial. After two weeks in court, Steve proved my case. I was awarded over five times what the insurance company offered me the day before trial.”
“I broke my neck when a felon was being chased by the police and crashed into the car I was riding in. Steve obtained every dime there was to get for me and was able to maximize my settlement by convincing some of my creditors to drastically reduce their bills. Thanks to Steve’s excellent negotiating skills, and with the help of his professional staff, I am now able to sleep at night knowing I am able to make ends meet.”
WHAT'S YOUR STORY
We only take cases we believe in – and we’ll tell you honestly if yours isn’t one of them. Sometimes we know right away. Other times it takes more investigation to find out. Either way, you’ll get a straight answer.
It depends on the case. Most cases in Oregon are completed within 18 months of being filed in court, absent an appeal or other delay. Multnomah County has one of the fastest dockets in the country, which works in your favor.
Probably not — nearly all cases settle. But we will go to trial before we accept compensation that isn’t fair. That’s not a threat we make lightly. It’s why insurance companies take us seriously at the negotiating table.
No. Many of our clients come to us through referrals from other lawyers. Any referral fee is paid out of our attorney’s fees, not yours. You will not pay a single dollar more because of it.
First: get medical care, even if you think you’re fine. Some of the most serious injuries don’t show up right away, and insurance companies will use any gap in treatment against you.
Second: document everything. Take pictures of your injuries, the scene, and any damage to your vehicle or property.
Third: don’t talk to insurance representatives until you know your rights. They are not on your side. Call us first.
We don’t get paid until we win. There is no upfront cost to you, and if we don’t win, we get nothing. We are all on the same team.
We advance all case costs. When we win, we get paid back. If we don’t win, you pay nothing.
